Good Design Award for SLIDERSTRAW

After Berlin-based product designer Arman Emami's patented concept of the separable straw has won the Red Dot, the IF award, the German Innovation Award and the European Product Design Award, the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design have now awarded the Green Good Design Award to SLIDERSTRAW as a pioneering innovation.
The Green Good Design Award is one of the most established Good Design Awards since 1950 and is presented annually by the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design. It is a recognition of environmentally friendly and sustainable design. The products are evaluated according to the criteria of energy efficiency, recycling, and sustainability. The design manufacture EMAMIDESIGN regards this additional reward as a valuable recognition of the product idea and an incentive for further success stories made in Berlin.

The SLIDERSTRAW principle - award-winning functionality, exemplary ecological balance
The Sliderstraw, just like tableware, can be used again and again. Thanks to its smart design - each drinking straw consists of two grooveless parts that are simply pushed in and out of each other - it is extremely easy to clean and does not become a pitfall with respect to hygiene. After use, the two halves of the straw are placed individually in the dishwasher and cleaned in a perfectly hygienic manner without mechanical aids, even in the eco-washing cycle, without leaving any residue. This is hardly possible with other commercially available, one-piece, reusable straws – e.g. made of glass or metal. SLIDERSTRAW is available as a translucent or colored plastic version as well as a silicone or stainless steel/silicone combination version. All variants are reusable, can be taken apart, and are thus easy to clean.
