As digitalization continues to transform logistics, autonomous transport and delivery systems are becoming increasingly important. The growing demand for faster, more cost-efficient, and sustainable delivery solutions has led to a new generation of intelligent delivery robots. Beginning around 2015–2016, autonomous delivery robots were first tested on a larger scale for parcel, grocery, and food delivery in urban environments and are now considered a key element of last-mile logistics.
BEESY is an autonomous delivery robot designed for courier services, parcel transport, and food delivery in urban environments. Its compact architecture and autonomous navigation enable efficient and energy-conscious transportation over short distances.
The design aims to translate complex robotics into an approachable and friendly product experience. Soft, organic surfaces reduce the machine-like appearance and encourage acceptance in public spaces. As a result, BEESY is perceived less as a technical device and more as a helpful companion within the urban environment.
By combining autonomous mobility, user-centered design, and forward-looking technology, BEESY anticipated the emergence of a new generation of autonomous delivery solutions as early as 2016.
