SWAN is a stackable and material-efficient clothes hanger whose design has been developed directly from functional, structural, and material-related requirements.
The form is based on principles of bionics. Inspired by natural structures, the geometry follows the flow of forces throughout the product, minimizing material consumption while maintaining strength and stability. The result is a lightweight yet durable construction with a distinctive organic design language.
The spatial twist of the surfaces creates functional support areas in the shoulder section that improve the fit of a wide range of garments without compromising the hanger’s stackability. This enables space-efficient storage and transportation.
Particular attention was given to the harmony of the overall form. All curves, transitions, and proportions are carefully coordinated, merging into a continuous organic silhouette. As a result, SWAN combines functional efficiency with a distinctive and recognizable visual identity.
With its bionically inspired construction, SWAN demonstrates how material efficiency, functionality, and aesthetic quality can be integrated into a holistic product solution.
